How's
Your Self Esteem?
Interested
in a tape or CD on improving your self esteem?
Check out Scott's "Serenity in Parenting." (It's
not as much about parenting as it is about the
Think 1st method of feeling better about
yourself.) Click
here. If you haven't been to a
Weight Watchers meeting - or you say you don't have the time
to go - you're missing some great topics. This was done
mid-April, 2002. I had requests to post the test on the web.
Take the test; enjoy it. (And if you'd like to work on your
self-esteem, make sure to go to Weight
Watchers!) Respond to each
comment with a number of 1 to 10. (Ten means it
describes you perfectly. One means you are the
complete opposite.) Don't "think" about your
answer; just respond with the number that comes to
mind first. If you're not sure how you'd rate
yourself, think how you'd rate yourself as a
child. 1. I'm a worthwhile person. 6. I'm as good as anybody else. 2. I'd rather be who I am than somebody
else. 7. I'm an attractive person. 3. I like myself, even when others don't approve
of me. 8. I have a right to treat my needs and wants as
important. 4. I deserve (am worthy) to achieve my goals in
life. 9. I deserve to be treated with respect. 5. Whether I achieve my goals or not, I contime
to love and appreciate myself. 10. In general, I'm a capable and successful
person. If you rate
lower than a three on any comment, that shows you
where you might want to do some work on yourself.
(Just remember, don't use shame or guilt. After
all, if shame and guilt were motivational, we'd all
be successful!
